On the morning of October 5, 2026, with the approval of the School Board and the support of teachers and students, the Foreign Languages - Informatics - Physical Education Department of Khuong Dinh High School successfully organized the special-topic game show “Heritage Dash: The Global Race.” The game show aimed to help students use English in real-life communication situations while fostering pride in the nation’s cultural values and heritage. In addition, with its team-based competition among three “Houses” representing the three grade levels, the game show created a healthy and engaging playground that attracted a large number of students. The game show also helped enrich their spiritual life and relieve stress after class hours, thereby sparking a love for English and helping English soon become the second language at school. The opening of “The Global Race”

The game show opened with an energetic performance by the school’s Performing Arts Club. Two bilingual MCs then introduced the three teams, each made up of five students representing one “House”: House of Flex (Grade 10), House of Vibe (Grade 11) and House of GOAT (Grade 12).The three teams on stage, ready for the challenges
The first round, “The Visual Code,” saw the teams decode picture puzzles (rebus-style “guess the word” riddles) to win the first clue to a secret landmark. The first challenge: “The Visual Code”
In the “Street Survival” challenge, each team had to handle a communication situation with a foreign tourist, such as guiding them across the street through streams of motorbikes, recommending street food, or sharing tips on bargaining at the market, with only 10 seconds to confer.“Street Survival” challenge - testing street-smart reflexes
In the “Cultural Ambassador” challenge, the teams buzzed in for the right to answer and acted as “cultural ambassadors,” introducing the lucky-money (lì xì) custom, the image of modern Vietnam, and Vietnamese technology products. The round ended with a dramatic tie-breaker question. The “Cultural Ambassador” challenge
“The Heritage Builder” was the most exciting part of the game show. Within 7 minutes, the three teams assembled picture puzzles of heritage sites (Ha Long Bay, Hoi An Ancient Town and the Hue Imperial Citadel) and wrote five English adjectives describing their site. At the same time, the two MCs went down to the school yard to interact with the audience through English quizzes. Each correct answer earned not only a prize but also bonus points for the team representing the student’s grade, linking the stage with all the students in the yard. The teams eagerly completing the heritage puzzle challenge

The “Heritage Dash: The Global Race” game show sends Khuong Dinh High School students a message: “International integration must be built on a foundation of understanding and pride in national culture.” Only by deeply understanding and cherishing our roots can we confidently step out into the world, present Vietnamese identity in a global language, and openly embrace the best of humanity without losing ourselves.
“Culture is the root of a nation”: culture is the root of a people. A tree with deep roots stands firm against storms and bears flowers and fruit. May every Khuong Dinh student carry that seed on the journey of “racing” with the world: strong in foreign languages and firm in cultural identity, so that every step of integration is the step of a global citizen with a Vietnamese heart.Teachers and contestants posing for a group photo after the event
